No one at American Asphalt got laid off in hard times

Like everyone else, the economic times hit American Asphalt hard. But President/CEO Allan Henderson took pride in not having to lay anyone off. “Keeping our employees working and keeping them happy and trained is a priority. During the last recession we haven’t had to lay off any of our employees at all. Once we keep this (team) unity going for miniclip 10 or 15 years then the employees will take care of American Asphalt. And I appreciate that.”

Pictured above is American Asphalt’s “Wall of Fame”. The majority of employees –55, have been with the company 10 years or more. The memorial is to Senior Estimator Brad Shaw who passed away in a fishing accident earlier this spring.
